Protégé Insurance Brokers, Inc. respects the privacy of our customers and uses personal information carefully and securely as set forth in this policy.

Privacy Agreement

Information We Collect

We use our client's information in order to better serve our clients and promote our business. We collect two types of information from our clients:

 

Personally-Identifiable information("PII") or Sensitive Personal Information (SPI)

Defined as information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context.

 

Anonymous Statistical Information ("ASI")

Defined as information from which a person cannot be identified. We collect this information via:

 

  • Documents, forms, and applications submitted to us
  • Client transactions with us, our affiliates or others
  • Consumer reporting agencies, governmental entities, medical providers, employers and other third parties which submit information to us on your behalf
  • Our website or the internet, including information collected through the use of internet "cookies:

 

 

 

Use and Disclosure of Information

Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share for marketing purposes your PII that we collect with third parties, unless you ask or authorize us to do so.

 

In general, PII and ASI you submit to us is used by us to provide you with our services, to improve our services and to offer you additional information, opportunities and promotions from us, our partners or affiliates.

 

Protégé discloses PSI only to those of its employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to provide Protégé's services, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. By using our Services, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.

 

In the event we go through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your PSI may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of ours or that acquirer's assets many continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.

 

We may disclose your PSI if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpenas or warrants served on us; or (b) to protect and defend our rights or property, you, or third parties. You hereby consent to us sharing your Personal Information under the circumstances described herein.

 

 

 

Use of Information for Statistical Purposes

Protégé may compile ASI provided by you and other clients without any personally-identifiable information and use this information for statistical purposes to help us analyze patterns in our business. This Privacy Policy does not limit our use or disclosure of any ASI in any way, and we reserve the right to use and disclose ASI to our affiliates, contractors, and other third parties in our discretion.

 

 

 

Use of Personal information About Health or Medical Conditions

Protégé will not disclose or share PII about your health, medical conditions, or treatment except as necessary to process or service requested or authorized transactions or as otherwise required by law.

 

 

 

Use of Credit Care Information

Protégé uses an outside credit card processing company to bill clients for services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use your PII for any other purposes. Protégé is not responsible for any failure of third party credit card processing companies to safeguard your PII.

 

 

 

Security

We use a variety of industry-standard security technologies and procedures to help protect your PII from unauthorized access, use , or disclosure.

 

 

 

Special Notice Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act

This section applies only to sharing of PII or ASI within Protégé which do not include your use of Protégé's services or any transactions with Protégé.

 

 

 

Protégé May Share PII and ASI with Affiliated Companies:

Information is obtained in order to verify your representations, such as your employment history, consumer credit report, submitted document, application, or other forms.

This Privacy Policy is subject to occasional revision at our discretion, and if we make any substantial changes to the Policy, we will notify you in writing prior to any changes.
